Sharing the principles that are important in calligraphy classes

Our representative, Ayaka Kobayashi, introduces the philosophy we value in our calligraphy classes and the messages we want to convey to everyone through calligraphy. In addition to the technique of writing beautiful letters, calligraphy calms the mind, expands the range of self-expression, and leads to a deeper understanding of Japanese traditional culture. We strive to provide careful guidance and warm support every day so that everyone from beginners to experienced calligraphy can fully experience the charm of calligraphy.

I like calligraphy

I like the scent of ink

I like the feel of hanshi paper.

I like the black and white world

I also like the taste of it bleeding and rubbing.

I absolutely love calligraphy, so I started learning calligraphy when I was 5 years old, became an instructor at 24, and have continued to do so to this day.

I am grateful to my master, fellow calligraphers, students, family, friends, and people around me.

It has been 13 years since I started teaching at my home, but I came across a wonderful venue called Hiromachi Mirai Park.

We restarted at the end of last year.

As digitalization continues to advance, I would like to convey the fun and wonder of writing analog calligraphy to as many people as possible.

We will expand our classes and calligraphy activities.

In addition to teaching classes, I would like to participate in events, hold workshops, and hold experiential classes for foreigners nationwide and around the world.

I want to share with you the possibilities, fun, and joy that can be expressed with a single brush.
