Hello.

This is Kobayashi Ayaka from the All Japan Calligraphy and Culture Institute.

Last week, I went to Australia with my daughter.

A married couple and their family, friends of mine since I was about 20 years old, live in Australia.

We visited the lively and lovely home of a family with four daughters.

On that occasion, we had them try out calligraphy.

His Australian wife had studied abroad in Japan and had some experience with calligraphy, but it had been a long time since she had last done so.

Some of my daughters had written in class before, while others were writing for the first time.

I was very interested in calligraphy.

We started by writing the kanji character for "friend," which is a common theme in calligraphy classes held in Japan.

The kanji character for "friend" looks simple, but it actually contains four important brush strokes.

The first stroke is a horizontal line that rises to the right.

The second stroke is a left stroke,

A left stroke from the corner of the third stroke.

Finally, make a triangle with a right stroke on the fourth stroke.

is.

By changing the placement of the brush, the way it moves, the way it stops, and the way it moves up and down, you can change the thinness of the line.

Turning corners, making triangles,

I had fun writing it, explaining things using onomatopoeia.

I'm not good at English, but I got it!

Afterwards, we each drew our favorite words or pictures on our pouches as a memento.

The first letter of the name will be in hiragana.

I wrote the example, then wrote while looking at it, and finally decorated it with pictures and letters in gold.

It was a lot of fun and the time flew by.

Our classes cater to a wide range of ages, from 5 to 75 years old.

We practice mainly on the assignments of the All Japan Calligraphy Cultural Institute, and submit our work to promotion exams, competitions, and calligraphy contests.

We also create crafts for various events, such as Hinamatsuri, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Tanabata tanzaku, Halloween, and Christmas cards.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are a first-time writer, someone who wants to write again, or someone aspiring to become a master.

Please feel free to contact us first.

We look forward to your free trial.
